Art Cures / Fall 2023

Online Masterclass with Marialuisa Diaz de Leon

To create is to love. Archetypal psychologist, James Hillman, wrote that “the heart is the seat of the imagination” and “the thought of the heart is the thought of images” so, when we imagine or have a vision, we are in our heart space. How can we embody our heart’s loving wisdom to nurture our creative process? How can our heart orient us in our creative process, especially when blocks or challenges arise? Lastly, how can we harness the courage needed to manifest our heart's vision?

THE HEART OF THE ARTIST:

Harnessing the Courage to Create with Marialuisa Diaz de Leon

Friday, October 6, 2023, 1-2:30PM PT | 4-5:30PM ET

In this embodied expressive arts session participants will gain insight into those questions by:

  • Engaging in a somatic practice and ritual of centering and honoring your own heart.
  • Resourcing yourself through your hearts calling.
  • Learning the anatomical, physiological, and metaphorical importance of self love.
  • Identifying the direction in which your heart is leaning toward.

This experience will feature the Tamalpa Life/Art Process, research from the HeartMath Institute, embodied anatomy and ritual.

Participants will take away a personal practice that they can apply immediately in their own lives and to their creative process.
